Generally the Ski Season in Baqueira Beret lasts from December to April. It is a popular area in which you will find 57 different runs and a total of over 100 km of slopes. Baqueira Beret is not only popular with skiers but also with snowboarders. The majority of slopes have a medium level of difficulty but there are also some for more experienced and professional winter sports fans. The Escornacrabes slope for example is ideal for extreme skiers. 500 snow cannons guarantee excellent conditions and coverage throughout the season.
This ski region can be roughly divided into three areas: Baqueira, Beret and Bonaigua. The resort itself is located on an altitude of 1.500 metres. The lift pass for adults costs 208EUR for 6 days which is relatively cheap compared to other ski areas. Extreme skiers can even heliski here, which only costs around 90EUR per drop.
Facilities for winter sports fans in Baqueira Beret are excellent. There are 19 chairlifts, 7 surface lifts and 4 conveyors available which manage to transport more than 45.000 people per hour. Of course you will also find a number of shops and ski equipment rentals in the town and the surrounding areas. Ski schools are also available here should this be one of the first times on the slope.
